| Good Communication Skills Is A Must For Call Center Job I will relate to you an actual story that recently happened in a very renowned call center interview in Gurgaon recently. There were six candidates from Jharkhand who had applied and they had traveled all the way to Gurgaon to try their luck. All the six were sent by a placement agency in Ranchi.
The call centers have jobs for people with good command of the English language. This may be in written language where one can fit for email replies or in spoken language where one can fit in the voice communication field.
You would be surprised that four out of the six candidates failed the first round itself. (And believe me there are a number of further rounds of interviews and testing where they try to find out your other capabilities to suit the particular job requirement.) The only reason of their initial failure was their inadequate communication capabilities in English language.
From the very initial stages one should be very careful and serious about improving this faculty. Today your communication skill is a very important aspect for whatever job you go in for. And for call center jobs this is the most important factor. In fact, the growth of this sector in our country is because of the huge manpower of English knowing persons here.
